Extended wear Toupee Tape bonding:

Opti-Tape 42 Toupee Tape (aka: EuroBond®)

Opti-Tape 42 Toupee Tape is the best extended wear tape available for bonding a Hairpiece or Wig for up to a 6-week (42 days) period to your scalp.

Bonding periods will differ depending upon each individuals amount of scalp oil secretion and environment.

Opti-Tape 42 Toupee Tape is two sided sticky clear tape.
Opti-Tape 42 Toupee Tape is available in 3/4" x 3" &
1.5" x 4" straight strips and 1.25" rear mini tabs only.

CREATING FRONT CONTOURS
The 1.5" x 4" straight strips may be turned into a Front Contour, if desired, simply by creating a :
1. Chip board template of your Hairpiece or Wig front.
2. Tracing that shape onto a straight strip.
3. Cutting along the outline to create the desired contour.

. Top Priority Hard Bond Adhesive is an extended wear adhesive of which may be used for bonding a Hairpiece or Wig for up to a 6-week (42 days) period your hair.

Use the following steps for bonding a Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig:

PREPARATION BEFORE BONDING
Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig
Cut your own hair to 1/8" long to create track for bonding Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig. (This area must conform with track on Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig system.

Track System Bonding Instructions

BONDING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Cut desired length of track tape from roll.
2. Remove shielding from track tape.
3. Apply tape to Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig along track system.

4. Apply desired front tape or adhesive to front area of Hairpiece or Wig for securing.
5. Apply and secure Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig to front area.

6. Position Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig forward over your face.
7. Apply Hard Bond Adhesive to track tape (Allow 3-minutes for set-up before applying Hairpiece or Wig.)
8. Position Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig over track area.
9. PRESS firmly where adhesive is applied to tape for hair bonding.(Allow several minutes for adhesive to securely bond to your hair.) . (Help is normally required for doing this procedure.)

Track System Removal Instructions

REMOVING AND PREPARING HAIRPIECE OR LACE FRONT WIG FOR RE-BONDING

Over the bonding period time your own hair will continue growing. As your hair gets longer your Hairpiece or Wig where bonded will loosen as your hair becomes longer. Naturally, it will become necessary to remove your Hairpiece or Wig for cleaning and repair.

Use the following steps for removing a Hairpiece or Wig:
1. Peel up the front of Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig where secured using toupee tape or adhesive.
2. Where the begins at either front temple: peel the Hairpiece or Wig from the track system that is bonded to your hair.
3. Once the Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig has been removed: Cut hair in track area to 1/8" long to prepare for bonding Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig once again.

Cleaning and repairing your Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig should be done before re-bonding Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig once again.

Extended wear soft bonding:

Ultra Hold Adhesive (Use same instructions for SafeGrip and InvisiBond Adhesives.)

. Ultra Hold Adhesive is a very good extended wear adhesive of which may be used for bonding a Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig for up to a 6-week (42 days) period to your scalp.

Bonding periods will differ depending upon each individuals amount of scalp oil secretion and environment.

. Ultra Hold Adhesive is a clear acrylic medical grade adhesive. Quantity: 3.4 ounces

BONDING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Apply Ultra Hold Adhesive to tape tab area (Allow 3-minutes set-up time before applying Hairpiece or Wig.)
2. Position Hairpiece or Wig where desired for wearing.
3. PRESS firmly where adhesive is applied to tape tab area for bonding to scalp. (Allow several minutes for adhesive to securely bond to your hair.) . (Help is not required for doing this procedure.)

RECOMMENDED CLEANING SOLVENT TO USE

2. Spray or apply solvent to tape residue or adhesive and allow to soften.
3. Using a solvent soaked sponge; clean residue or adhesive from tape tape area monofilament material.

Shampooing and repairing your Hairpiece or Wig should be done before re-bonding Hairpiece or Wig once again.

2. Position Hairpiece or Wig where desired for wearing.
3. PRESS firmly where adhesive is applied to tape tab area for bonding to scalp. (Allow several minutes for adhesive to securely bond to your hair.) . (Help is not required for doing this procedure.)

TOP PRIORITY HARD BOND and ULTRA HOLD ADHESIVES ARE NOT RECOMMENDED FOR:

Gluing hair (or weft hair extensions) to your own hair using Top Priority Hard Bond and Ultra Hold Adhesive is not recommended.

Using a 'HOT MELT' hair extension adhesive IS RECOMMENDED for gluing hair to your own hair. (We do not carry these types of adhesives.)

When creating a custom Hairpiece or Wig using weft hair - sewing the weft hair to the foundation material or cap using a fine clear color plastic thread is recommended.

Plastic thread is available from most fabric stores.
