TRACK BONDING SYSTEM

Track bonding to hair is a bonding system used to secure a men's hairpiece to their own hair.

TOP PRIORITY HARD BOND TRACK BONDING

The instructions below are for bonding hairpieces or wigs to hair. This method of bonding requires hair to be available in the area where the hairpiece or wig is to be bonded to your hair. Below are complete step-by-step instructions for using Top Priority Hard Bond Adhesive for securing a hairpiece or wig for wearing.

Perimeter Track System Bonding:

  1. Clean scalp and track system area and dry (must be scalp oil free).
  2. Apply adhesive to track area and matching track area on hair system.
  3. Allow adhesive to dry apart until tacky (3 to 5 minutes) before bonding.
  4. Position system on head and firmly press (for 1 minute) on areas where adhesive has been applied to system.

May also be used for creating custom Hair Extensions or to secure Hair Extensions directly to hair.

Track Bonding System Instructions

The following instructions below are for bonding a men's hairpieces to their own hair. This method of bonding requires hair to be available for securing the hairpiece. Below are complete step-by-step instructions for using the Walker Top Priority Hard Bond Adhesive for securing a men's hairpiece for wearing.

 Storage

  • Keep Hard Bond Adhesive at room temperature no warmer than 72 degrees until opened.
  • Keep bottle in plastic zip-lock bag and refrigerated after opened.
  • Remove any residual adhesive from applicator tip after use.

Bottle Preparation

  • Remove cap.
  • Cut bottle applicator tip 1/8" from top at a 45 degree angle.

Preparation

  • Before you secure your hairpiece for wearing, shampoo and blow dry your hairpiece using warm setting on blow dryer.
  • Establish the track area around the hairpiece perimeter where hairpiece is to bonded to your hair.
  • Cut your own hair to an 1/8" high stubble where track tape is to align for bonding.
  • Clean track area on your head with alcohol to remove any oil before applying adhesive.

Preparing Hairpiece for Bonding:

  1. Hair system must be clean, oil free, and thoroughly dry.
  2. Apply front contour tape at hair system front.
  3. Remove tape-guard paper from Permanent Attachment Tape (P.A.T.) and secure tape along underside edge of hairpiece.
  4. Before securing hair system in place on head, position hair system on head and check track alignment to be sure that P.A.T. tape aligns perfectly with 1/2" wide stubble track.
  5. Position and secure only front of hair system to your scalp.
  6. Pull rear of hair system towards front hairline to expose the underside of hair system and P.A.T. tape.
  7. Apply Top Priority adhesive evenly to width P.A.T. tape.
  8. Roll hair system slowly back over scalp, while aligning hair system with track.
  9. When in place: press and hold down hair system (approximately 2 minutes) with equal pressure around entire perimeter of hair system track until adhesive sets up.

TIP:  Before styling hair, check bonded perimeter for "lips" or "gaps" and spot bond these areas if necessary.

Removal

 Hairpiece Removal

  1. The hair system should be removed and re-bonded approximately every 4 to 6 weeks depending upon hair growth.
  2. Lift at front hairline to expose track (at either temple).
  3. Using a scissors, carefully cut-away old hair track - leaving 1/8" stubble length hair to be used again for rebonding hair system.
  4. Peel away P.A.T. Tape carefully from hair system.
  5. Clean hair system. It is extremely important that hair is dry and oil free before re-applying Top Priority Hard  Bond.3
