WIG MAKING SUPPLIES/TOOLS
Welcome to the MHRW Women's Workshop... where you will learn about creating Banana Clips, Ponytails, Braids, Falls, Bangs, Lace Front Wiglets and Hair Extensions, Hair Integration Systems, and even Doll Wigs.
Creating clip-on women's clip-on hair pieces is very easy and they only require a few basic supplies such as quality human hair, thread, and various lace materials to make. The hair you use to make them may be Asian, European, or Remy human hair and most supplies necessary for creating these hair pieces are available from MHRW. The supplies not available from MHRW are available from various Beauty Supply Stores, Fabric Stores, and Lace Wig Stores.

Human Hair
Human Hair Supply
Naturally, all Lace Wigs and Hairpieces are created with hair and there are two kinds of hair that are commonly used: synthetic hair and human hair. There are also two ways hair may be applied of configured to create a Lace Wig or Hairpiece. One way is using bulk hair; the other is using Weft hair.
Bulk hair is loose strands of hair that are applied by tying them to a foundation or base using a Ventilating Tool.
Weft hair is hair that is sewn together at one end when synthetic; or at the root end when human hair.
To make most Lace Wigs or Hairpieces requires approximately 1 or moreounces of Weft hair. The length of the hair will ultimately dictate how many ounces of hair that will be necessary for creating this Hairpiece.
With this Hairpiece the hair volume may be controlled by attaching 1 or more Weft strips to each comb. When adding more then one Weft strip to each comb; first pin Weft strips together; and then sew them into one strip before attaching hair to comb.
In order for a perfect hair-color match; a hair sample must be sent along when ordering your hair supply.
Lace
Flat Lace Monofilament Material
Creating a Wig/Hairpiece may be done using a Wig Cap or Hairpiece Foundation. Wigs/Hairpieces are normally made with a monofilament Wig Cap or Ready-made Pre-shaped Monofilament Hairpiece Foundation. You simply design your Wig/Hairpiece, apply the hair, undercoat the perimeter and your Wig/Hairpiece is done.
Keep in mind that a Wig/Hairpiece is simply hair and a Wig Cap/Hairpiece Foundation.

Women's Lace Wig or Men's Hairpieces may be custom designed using flat lace-net Lace Wig foundation material, simply by sewing Wefted hair strips to the lace material or by ventilating hair to the foundation material allows you to create your desired Lace Wig or Hairpiece. To secured your Lace Wig may be easily done using either Wire Wig Combs, Wig Comb Clips, or Toupee Snaps.

Tools
Amazingly, as what is necessary for creating a Wig/Hairpiece, is just as amazing with the tools needed for creating a wig/hairpiece. Just two (2) tools are necessary for creating a Wig or Hairpiece. Both the supplies and tools are equally important because without either you simply could not create a Wig or Hairpiece.
The first tool is called a Wig Block/Head Block. The Wig Block/Head Block is where the Wig/Hairpiece is created.
The second tool is called the Ventilator Holder. This is used for tying hair to the Wig Cap/Hairpiece Foundation.

When it comes to securing a Wig or Hairpiece you have various options. You have the option to use either Tape, adhesive, or attachment combs or clips. Extended wear tape provides bonding periods up to 6 weeks. Extended wear adhesives provide bonding periods up to 6 weeks. Wig attachment combs and clips allow you to wear your Wig/Hairpiece as long as desired, however, you may also choose to remove your wig daily if desired.
